According to some reckonings of the Shire (Hobbit) calendar, today marks the either the first or second day of one of the year’s two most important festivals, Lithe. I’m sure I don’t really know how to celebrate it–except to eat and drink at that most Hobbitish of restaurants, The Hobbit Cafe at 2243 Richmond Avenue. While it’s true that not all who wander are lost, try to be there around 8 PM and let us know if you’re planning on being there so we can reserve the proper table.

The Hobbit Cafe, 2243 Richmond Avenue @ 8PM. The patio will hopefully be open so bring a light jacket and enjoy the ‘seasonal’ weather for Houston.
