From Bier Haus to Ice House: Hans’ gets a “gift” from above
Posted by mike | Meetings | Posted on November 30th, 2010
Weird. Anybody notice anything like this last night, or hear anything from the “regulars”? My bet would be on blue ice before I blamed the neighbors this time, though. Maybe I’ve watched too much CSI.
Monday, 29 November 2010: Cybeer Monday at Hans’ Bierhaus
Posted by john | Meetings | Posted on November 29th, 2010
Once you’re done with the clikcity-clickity-clicking, come join us for beery goodness at Hans‘ (2523 Quenby St. at Kirby Dr.) As we’re fond of saying, there’s an 80% chance of no rain tonight. See you there around 8 PM. Note that IBC Bank is no longer cool with Hans’ patrons parking in their lot, so find some on-street parking nearby and watch for the signs and the hydrants.
Monday, 22 November, 2010: Hedging our bets at The Ginger Man
Posted by mike | Meetings | Posted on November 22nd, 2010
The weather should be good for outdoor seating, but with a 1 in 5 chance of rain, let’s head to The Ginger Man, 5607 Morningside, our favorite indoor/outdoor pub. See you there at 8 PM.
Monday, 15 November 2010: The Hobbit Cafe
Posted by john | Meetings | Posted on November 15th, 2010
A little damp and a little chilly would describe this Monday. Come warm up your evening with us and a pint or two tonight in the Shire. Join us at the Hobbit Cafe, 2243 Richmond Avenue, at 8 PM.
Monday, 8 November 2010: The Remains of Burning Can at The Petrol Station
Posted by mike | Meetings | Posted on November 8th, 2010
The Petrol Station hosted an event this weekend called Burning Can. Best we can figure, it involved as many kinds of craft beer available in cans as possible, and people painted blue like the Cimbri, dancing naked in front of the fire. We might just be imagining that last part, but one thing’s for sure: *you* certainly *are* imagining it *now*, and if there’s one thing we learned from listening to the Dexter audiobooks, it’s that there are some things you just can’t *un*-imagine.
So, in addition to all-night happy-hour, the great burger-and-a-pint deal, and the worst parking in Garden Oaks, you can also get $2-a-can on the leftover beers. No telling what they have, and when they’re gone, as the man says, they’re gone. Join us at 985 Wakefield at 8 PM. Leave the blue paint and fire-breathing apparatus at home, though.
